This weeks environmental top tips focus on avoiding air pollution

Smoke is coming out of a chimney next to a no entry sign

Here are our top tips on minimising the environmental impact of air pollution within your organisation:

1.    For organisations with a fleet of vehicles, go green. Over time, move towards vehicles that have a lower environmental impact.

2.    Look into alternative energy. Undertake a review with a specialist to discuss what possibilities are available.

3.    If possible, car sharing is a way of reducing the number of vehicles on the road.

4.    Plan your journey to avoid congested areas.

5.    Use public transport where possible. This transport will run whether there is 1 person or 100 people travelling.

6.    Encourage a cycle to work scheme. It is possible funding may be available which can contribute towards a bicycle. If possible, walk to work.

7.    Purchase natural products.

8.    Plant more trees. Organise employee team building exercises where planting trees in your local community is not just fun but also creates a sustainable solution.

9.    Stop smoking.
