A reminder as employees return to the workforce

We are back!
Although the majority of businesses have continued throughout lockdown many will be starting or have started to bring back employees into the working environment. Many of these employees may have been furloughed or working from home. Either way, their exposure to potential risks within the working environment may have been limited.

Time to refresh our critical risks perhaps?

Just remind me.
Don’t miss the opportunity to review your risk assessments, make any necessary changes and consult your employees throughout this process. I know they should already know but just in case, remind them.

Some employees may have forgotten. It’s not something they have had to think about. The last thing we need is an immediate return to work and a potential incident.

This doesn’t have to be an onerous thing to do. It could possibly be a re-induction. A refresh on the key risks associated with their job role. A reminder of their duties and responsibilities perhaps?

Don’t do nothing. Do something, even if it’s just a small thing. Sometimes these little opportunities to discuss health and safety can have the biggest influence.

Lead by example and show your employees it’s important.

Stay safe!
